Position Description:
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to work at our Jazan Refinery. The incumbent will provide technical evaluation and assessment of civil and structural analysis, supporting refinery commissioning and start-up. The refinery will have the capacity to process 400,000BPD of Arabian Heavy and Arabian Medium crude oils to product gasoline, ultra-low-sulfur diesel, benzene and paraxylene.
Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will have:
A bachelor degree in civil engineering from a recognized and approved program.
At least fifteen years of relevant experience, with at least ten years in refinery civil fields.
Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate, you will be required to:
Be responsible for civil and structural fields, including stress analysis, using recent modeling software and according to local and international codes, standards and best practices.
Provide technical assessments in civil engineering area to support commissioning and start-up, and normal operation refineries.
Analyze and assess performance and the efficiency of different type of foundations and concretes structural analysis.
Being familiar with the type of grouting and crack repair methods.
Act as a mentor to more junior civil engineers.
Adopt technologies & innovations that might enhance the equipment performance and reduce the operational cost.
Apply international standards that are applicable to the specified civil field and evaluate actual performance against those standards.
Conduct RCA to provide short and long term recommendations in civil/structural fields.
Propose improvement in design using the knowledge of process plant civil engineering.
Participate in turnaround by providing effective technical recommendations in optimal time.
Issue monthly and quarterly technical reports including KPIs.
Conduct Building Risk assessments and conduct comprehensive analysis.
Be familiar with evaluating bridges & culvers design.
